Privacy Policy
Your trust matters to us. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Last updated: 11 September 2026
1. Information we collect
When you browse Blingify or place an order, we may collect:
- Contact details — name, email address, phone number, and shipping/billing address.
- Order information — items purchased, order value, payment status, and delivery preferences.
- Checkout details you have not submitted yet — what you type into the checkout form is saved as you go, from the moment you enter an email address or phone number, even if you never place the order. This is what lets you close the page and come back to a checkout you have already filled in. We use it to contact you about that order and to see where our checkout is losing people. A checkout that never becomes an order is deleted after 180 days, and you can ask us to remove it sooner at any time — see “Your rights and choices” below.
- Account information — login email, wishlist items, and saved addresses if you create an account.
- Payment information — processed securely by our payment partners; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Usage data — pages visited, device type, browser information, and the approximate city your internet connection reports, collected automatically. We do not collect precise or GPS location, and we do not attach a location to your name or email address.
2. How we use your information
- To process and deliver your orders, including sending order confirmations and shipping updates.
- To respond to customer support requests sent via WhatsApp, email, or our contact form.
- To send promotional updates, offers, or newsletters — only if you have opted in.
- To improve our website, product range, and shopping experience.
- To understand which pieces attract interest in which places, so we can stock and promote accordingly. This is read as totals by city and by product, never as a profile of an individual.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorised account activity.
3. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with trusted service providers who help us run our business, including:
- Courier and logistics partners, to deliver your order.
- Payment gateway providers, to process transactions securely.
- Email and messaging providers, to send order and account notifications.
- Analytics providers, to understand site usage in aggregate, non-identifying form.
We may also disclose information where required by law, court order, or government request.
4. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your cart and wishlist, and understand how shoppers use our site. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features (like cart persistence) may not work correctly without them.
Essential cookies are always active — they are required to sign you in, keep your cart, and complete checkout securely.
We also keep our own basic visit records — which pages were opened, roughly which city the connection came from, and whether that browser had visited before. These stay on our own systems, are never sold or shared with advertisers, and are read as totals by place and by product rather than as a record of any one person.
Marketing cookies are only used with your permission. When you first visit, we ask whether you accept marketing cookies. If you accept, we use the Meta (Facebook) Pixelto measure the performance of our advertising and to show you more relevant jewellery on Meta platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. The Pixel may record the pages you view, products you look at, items you add to your cart or wishlist, searches you make, and purchases you complete (including order value), together with your IP address and device or browser information. This information is shared with Meta Platforms, Inc., which may process it outside India. Meta's handling of this data is governed by its own privacy policy.
If you decline, the Meta Pixel is not loaded and no data is sent to Meta. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, and we will ask you again. We will also ask again periodically.
5. Virtual try-on
Some products offer a virtual try-on, which places a picture of the jewellery on your own face using your camera or a photo you choose. Your camera frames and any photo you upload never leave your device. They are not sent to us, we never see them, and nothing is stored on our servers or shared with anyone else.
The face detection runs entirely inside your browser, using files your browser downloads from this site in the same way it downloads a picture on any other page. Those downloads tell our server that the files were requested — not what your camera or photo contained.
- The photo you pick is opened by your own browser and drawn on the page. It is never uploaded.
- If you use “Show it my ears” to fit a piece more accurately, those measurements are held only while the page is open and are gone as soon as you close it.
- If you save a picture of yourself wearing a piece, your own device saves it, to wherever you choose. We do not receive a copy.
- The only things the try-on keeps on your device are two notes: that you have already seen the short how-to, and that the drag has been demonstrated to you — so neither is shown again on every visit. No images and no measurements are kept.
- A picture you save or share carries a small “virtual try-on” mark in its corner. It is drawn onto the image on your own device, along with the rest of the picture, and tells us nothing.
Sharing a saved picture is entirely your decision, and anything you send to someone else is outside this policy.
6. Data security
We use industry-standard safeguards — including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access-controlled databases — to protect your information. While we take reasonable measures to secure your data, no method of online transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7. Your rights and choices
- You can review and update your account details at any time from your account page.
- You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data, subject to legal record-keeping requirements (e.g. invoices).
- You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in those emails.
- You can ask us to delete a checkout you started and did not complete, without needing an account. Email us with the address or phone number you entered.
8. Children's privacy
Blingify is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised.
